Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Exportly iPhone app ("Exportly", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Exportly you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Apple standard EULA

Exportly is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which is incorporated into these Terms. If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by law. Apple is not responsible for Exportly or its content.

2. Subscriptions

  • Exportly is free to download. Exporting chats may require an Exportly Pro subscription, offered as auto-renewing weekly and yearly subscriptions. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

3. Your content and lawful use

You are responsible for the chats you import and export and for how you use the resulting files. You confirm that you have the right to access, copy and export the conversations you use with Exportly, and that doing so complies with applicable law, including privacy, data protection, recording and confidentiality laws, and the terms of the messaging service the chat came from. Respect the privacy of the other people in your conversations.

Your chats stay on your device and remain yours. We claim no ownership of them. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. No legal advice, no certified evidence

Exportly is a document tool. It does not provide legal advice. Exported files are reproductions created on your device and are not certified, notarised or forensically verified records. Whether an export is accepted as evidence is decided by the court, authority or organisation receiving it. If you need evidence for legal proceedings, consult a qualified lawyer.

Imports from screen recordings and screenshots rely on automatic text recognition, which can make mistakes. Check exports for accuracy before relying on them.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Exportly to break the law, infringe others' rights, harass anyone, or reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app except as permitted by law.

6. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Exportly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every chat format will be supported, or that exports will be complete or accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Exportly. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Exportly in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

8. Termination

You may stop using Exportly at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access if you seriously breach these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continuing to use Exportly after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
